Dissecting Frogs! Posted at 11:34 PM Tomorrow, at around 10:00 in the morning, our class in zoology would be dissecting frogs. It is not going to be my first time, since my first time was way back in Grade Six. The last time I did it was during Biology of my second year in high school. Some people think that it is going to be disgusting… these people are SO wrong. I have a feeling that tomorrow would be so much fun! We need to bring aprons/lab gowns, gloves, alcohol and a dissecting kit – I am so excited because the act of putting on the gloves, lab gowns and using the dissecting kit is going to be one of the closest experience I will have to being a doctor (a dream of mine a long, long time ago.) Slicing skin, cutting ribs, seeing a beating heart… quite morbid… for some. And before I forget, Happy Birthday Dawn! You truly are one of my closest college friends. (Paano ba yan.. lahat kayo 18 na, ako na lang ata 17 ah!) Hope we have fun sa Avenitos! Anyway, this week has got to be one of the most hectic one since the start of the year. So many things to do: A Musikang Pinoy Pop presentation for Filipino, a 7 to 10 page proposal in English, Studying Antiderivatives for Calculus, Analyzing Poems and Watching Three Penny Opera for Literature plus the hassle of NSTP. Waaaaaaaah… college life is so hectic… so demanding. Pero… kaya pa rin! After all, hindi rin biro ang pinagdaanan ko sa Ateneo High School. Nga pala, thanks to Nikolai for giving me an award for my site (Feline Fanatics!). You can visit his site at www.ffinfinity.net – the graphics are truly worth the visit! See See Pee Posted at 11:45 PM The past two days have been so fun! Thursday : I was so glad that we didn't have math.. so right after dissecting frogs and zoology lecture, we were off to Dawn's party.. well almost. We had to stop by UP. Jofel, Justin, Dawn, Andrew and I went to UP to interview this professor. So we met up with Mario and went to their Faculty Office. Naawa talaga ako sa estado ng UP.. talaga bang ganon na kahirap ang Pilipinas? Anyway, we ate Palabok sa canteen nila.. mura lang 22 pesos. So after that, we said goodbye to Mario (who had to go somewhere) and to Justin (who wanted to be somewhere else.) We then went to Avenitos, the one in Eastwood. We ate a lot... as in a lot.. to much in fact that I felt so much heavier. Grabe.. tumataba na talaga ulit ako! After that, Jofel, Dawn and I went to Gateway. Had a great time. We went to a few shops.. they tried on some clothes. After that, we watched A Very Long Engagement. I really have to recommend this to all of you! Grabe.. you have to watch it talaga! May comedy, suspense, mystery, plus action.. all in one.. such a great love story... it is going to be worth the money you pay for it. Friday: Nothing eventful happened sa school kasi 1:30 na yung pasok ko because we didn't have Filipino. After school, Jofel, Leo and me went to McDo to eat. I ate a lot once again. I felt SO full. Tataba na talaga ako! Anyway, after that, we went to CCP na. Ang layo! As in.. sobrang layo! On the way, we had fun. I found out something about Leo.. hehe.. and we saw three waiting sheds featuring the new coke girl.. my blockmate sa english.. Nikki Gil.. hehe.. sikat na talga siya. WE went to CCP to watch Pirendello's (sp?) play... It is so, If you think it is so.. a tagalog version.. I really did enjoy it. Ang saya saya ng play. I was near the center of the "stage".. so i was able to see the actors up close.. with their expressions as well as their shiny costumes.. hehe... I really have to recommend it to everyone! Watch it.. the actors are so good. Price of Ticket : 180 Price of Transportation : 200 ++ Constantly laughing for two hours : Priceless... What my name means: Posted at 07:56 PM I was surfing arount the net and I found this site that shows you a brief name analysis. It is free (so i gave it a try!) Was it accurate? You be the judge. The name Aldrich creates the urge to be creative and original, we emphasize that it causes a blunt expression that alienates others. This name, when combined with the last name, can frustrate happiness, contentment, and success, as well as cause health weaknesses through tension or accidents to the head. Your first name of Aldrich creates individuality, independence, self-confidence, initiative, and an inclination to physical activity. You are not inclined to merge your opinions and viewpoints with others, to accept compromise, or to work in a subservient position against your will. Your expression is invariably quite direct and candid. Others find it difficult to accept your domineering and, at times, argumentative manner. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Wanna try it? Why does everything have to be this way? Posted at 08:39 PM It is only tuesday.. but I am really starting to hate this week. It is so damn tiring... so damn difficult.. so damn stressful. I hate math. I hate literature. I hate filipino. I hate the fact that I can't "spike" in volleyball. I hate the fact that I miss high school and the good things that were part of my experience there. I hate the fact that I am slowly losing my grip on my academics. I hate it that no matter how hard I try, there is always that great possibility of me failing. Why does my life seem hectic yet boring? Why is life so damn unfair? *pause* Yet there is so much potential, so many chances to fail - the main reason why success is such an overwhelming experience. Being alive is not great because we have to experience the downs in our lives, being alive is great because we have the capability to be responsible for, be part of and authentically experience the ups in our lives. Constantine Posted at 04:29 PM Finally… You can’t imagine how these past weeks have been so hectic… I really did a lot of things. Aside from that, there are a lot of other requirements that I have to pass: 1.A Memoir in English 12 2.A Research Paper in Filipino 12 (an actual research paper written in Tagalog.. shit.) 3.Poem Analysis in Literature 14 4.Zoology Lab Test – featuring all the parts of the frog.. why do frogs have to have so many parts… inscriptiones tendinae haha… 5.Zoology Lecture Long Test and Final Exam – featuring all parts of the human being… 6.Calculus Long Test Six and Final Exam – Hell! All that plus the projects in Zoology (two), revisions of all Filipino papers as well as a project in Math ! Hehe.. and I still had time to watch Constantine! The movie was in fact a good one. The role of savior (pretty much like the one in the Matrix trilogy) really does fit Keanu Reeves. The story was logical, there were historical references and it gives you a peek at what happens in hell… if there is a place called hell. All in all, there is one lesson to be learned: never commit suicide. Do it only if you want a one-way ticket to hell. Anyway… ang ganda talaga ng movie. You should watch it. And no, don’t buy a pirated copy – this movie is deserves to be watched in a cinema near you. Plus : Look out for a Filipino flag somewhere in the beginning. Kudos for those who spot it! Haha… plus… I am sure that you will laugh at what that demon says while possessing the asian girl. Anyway, I have to go back and start being productive. Hope I get to survive this sem. Good luck na lang talaga sa akin! Reading: Biology Concepts and Connections Hearing: Breakaway- Kelly Clarkson Feelin' stressed |
