Personally, the 4th of January signalled the official start of the Second Semester. That small patch of school days between the semestral break and christmas break can hardly be called "second semester". And besides, I had a lot of things occupying my time - things for the first time, I placed more priorities over anything else.
This year started on a sad note, and I mean a devastatingly-mind-and-body-shutdown way (the kind that you lose sleep and *worse* your appetite) that had me crippled for almost the whole of the first week of the year. After a week of my very own therapy to cheer myself up and to restore my healthy outlook towards life, I am glad to say that more or less, I am over it ( I honestly think I am.) There are some things that people can not control, some things that are not meant to be, some things that you have no power over.
As I am typing this, I think that as people get older, everything does get a lot more complicated. Ewankolangha. Putting yourself "out there" puts yourself in a position for either extreme happiness or extreme solitude. I took the risk. I got hurt. Why can't things be as simple as I want them to be? It took a lot in me to take that risk. And it took a lot more to get over being hurt. It is now that I am realizing that I still got it in me. In the end, what doesn't kill you only makes you stronger. Splinters really do prepare you for the nails ahead. Gets? Open naman yan for personal interpretation eh.
Aaaanyway, 3 Months worth of straight, regular school days are upon me. 3 whole months, need I say more? Para me, buena suerte! Kaya pa yan! I don't see how I will do well this sem. Everything just looks bad. I hope that everything changes come midterms. Sometimes, it really is a pain in the ass to be optimistic. But who knows? Sa tennis nga, may upsets di ba??? sa acads pa kaya. ^_^
Here I am once again ranting about grades and acads. Well, I guess everything is back to "normal" - whatever "normal"is.
Movie Review
A friend lent me this movie. He was raving about it. Knowing fully well that he has this knack for "overhyping" things, I did not expect much. The film that I watched was C.R.A.Z.Y. It is a foreign film - french but came from Quebec (which is in Canada btw, not in Europe.)

I know I have a bias for foreign films but this one really is a good movie. it is about the love of a father for his children. And the love of children for their father. It revolved around Zachery and his quest to find his true identity - to find who he really is.
Marc-André Grondin plays Zachery. In the film, he undergoes different "identities", one simple very distinct from the other. I was amazed at how good they made these changes! Favorite ko yung identity niya na long hair pa siya (like the one sa cover) tapos he was singing and also his "look" nung nasa Israel siya. Ang galing talaga ng pagkagawa. It won a lot of awards sa Canada and Europe and running daw siya sa Oscars (tapos na ba ang Oscars?) Try to watch it! Recommended ko siya talaga. If you are lost, confused or still searching, watch it.
Christian. Raymond. Antione. Zachery. Yvon.
Try to get a copy of the DVD - it has a lot of features and provides a lot of insight as to what the film really is all about.
Till next time!
