Beginning of the End
Posted at 09:27 PM
I played badminton sa Starsmash kanina. I've played there before but its been a very very long time since I've done so - which basically makes my fat cells happy. haha So anyway, at first I thought they were closed because the door was broken and it had this worn-out look. But being the persistent-never-knowing-when-to-stop person that I am, I still went it and to my surprise, they had a full house! haha We even had to wait for other people to get tired before we got our turn to play.
Can I just say, I'm so happy that the Badminton game that Robert (regcom) and I have been talking about for the longest time finally materialized. haha For the longest time talaga! So anyway, can I just say, my badminton skills have greatly deteriorated. Don't get me wrong, I'm not really that good in the first place (!) haha. My smashes were not really that strong anymore. I'm not as good as I would like in terms of receiving. And of course, theres the dreaded service. Crap. I still can't serve properly.
Yep, Robert is right when he said that the age of backyard badminton is over. I mean, there were housewives there who played twice as better as us. Friggin' housewives! And take note, they're not the athletic types - hmm, they were more of the curvacious types if you know what I mean. And that just made me feel even worse! haha Well, I guess its true what they say that practice indeed makes perfect. Plus, it seems that my body is not used to so much physical activity. Even now as I'm typing this entry - even after hours of rest, I'm still damn tired and my arms are f*ckin' achin. haha Hopefully, there's weight loss there. haha
I've stopped playing my PS2 yesterday. Ayaw ko na muna. (though I'm not regretting buying it. haha and I doubt I ever will.) I want to stop before I get to the point that I can't stop myself. haha God! Valkyrie Profile is so addicting. Perfectionists should never be allowed to play RPGs. haha never, i tell you! haha Plus, another reason is that in a few days, I have to go back to school. Crap. I still have school.
I know this is going to sound redundant since i've been talking about it in the past entries. But the thing is, this last two months is the final stretch. I mean, when I go to school on mOnday, its going to be the beginning of the end. Who knew that time would fly this fast? Crap, it seems like only yesterday that I was meeting Justin in Dunkin Donuts before our first ORSEM day and now, graduation is only two months away!
Anyway, here's a glimpse of whats up ahead before that day:
History 166: Philippine History I'm done with my Book Report and Research Paper. Thankfully, I partnered with Julia and we finished it before the christmas break. So I don't have to worry about that. All I have to worry about are the two remaining long tests and hope to God that I get exempted for the Final Exams. Kaya yan! I'm loving Dr. Santos by the way. She doesn't seem to bore me, plus I love taking notes so I guess she likes that. Oh and yeah, I'm the beadle. So hopefully thats a good thing in the end. haha
Theology 151: Catholic Commitment: A Synthesis Before the Christmas Break began, we passed 40% of our grade - one long test (30%) and a project (10%). Yep, its a whopping 40%, one that differentiates an A from a B+. Crap. I'm so scared since he'll give it back the first meeting, which is this Monday. OMFG. haha Lets just hope that he likes my way of writing. *crosses fingers* Well, I think I still like the class, even though I've had some negative experiences. Nevertheless, I still don't regret choosing Mr. Dy-Liacco. Just check back next week if I still feel the same. haha
Philosophy 103: Philosophy of Religion Can I just say that this subject will welcome the year with a Long Test on the first week of classes. What a way to begin the year. haha First of all, I think out of all the three teachers that I "had" for Philosophy, I think that Mrs. Azada-Palacios is the one who has had the greatest chance of making me lean towards actually liking the subject. She's just so full of insights, plus I sooo like the way she discusses. She's just damn eloquent. haha Hopefully, I get to be like that when I get older. haha
LS 127: Strategy Implementation Waley. haha Corporate Audit + Final Defense na lang and I'm done with this friggin' subject.
LS 170: Global Strategies We're done with one case study - so its two long tests and 3 case studies left. That doesn't sound so bad naman. Especially since I love the way the teacher discusses his modules. Unlike my past LS teachers (*ahem*) who just teach powerpoint slides, he gives great examples which makes the subject so interesting even if its a 6-9 class. haha
LS 142: Cross Cultural Communications This class of mine is just about to begin. Its an accelerated class thats supposed to have french students as well. O di ba!? Cross cultural communication indeed! haha Also, this is the first class that the required book reached the four digits mark - taray! Whatsmore is that this book was flown from Singapor especially for us. Naks naman! Hopefully, I get to enjoy this subject.
The thing is, I feel that going to school is so anticlimactic. I mean, I honestly feel that I've learned everything I have to and the remaining two months are just formalities that we have to observe. Crap. Long gone are the days that I would miss going back to school. I guess, that was the Aldrich that didn't know better. haha
Plus, another thing to worry about is the upcoming jobfair. Pabonggahan na ito ng resume and more importantly, resume picture! haha *sigh* malapit na. as in malapit na malapit na. Anyway, thats it for me now. I still have to study this case for Global Strategies. In fairness, mahirap siyang case ha. haha challenge kung challenge talaga. haha

Seeing the Best in Jordin Sparks
Posted at 06:18 PM
I didn't have classes today, but boy, did I go places! OMFG, its like I toured Manila today. Usually, my errands would lead me to some areas in Quezon City, or Makati at the most.
But today, next level na talaga! I mean, I even had to go to an Internet Cafe to look for directions on how to get to other places. Hmm, lets see - I went to Pasig, passed by Pateros, and then to this special economic zone in Taguig (FTI), and then to Pasay, then Makati and then I rode an MRT back to Quezon City. Can you say field trip!?
Today, I'm so proud of myself. haha I've been to places that I didn't even know existed. haha Plus, I got to go to Pateros and Taguig. haha I have never been there. Ever. (well, not unless you count Bonifacio High Street, which is part of Taguig.) But anyway, I'll spill why I had to go to all these places soon. haha
God! I'm so happy that I'm back in Quezon City. Yep, other places have numerous things to offer, but I still belong and will always be comfortable in Quezon City! haha Aldrich hearts Q.C.!
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Anyway, I'm listening to Jordin Sparks now - her song "One Step at a Time" and I'm totally loving it! I was browsing her article in Wikipedia. And there was this weight controversy thing about here.
The thing is there was this person called Meme Roth (whatta name!) of the National Action Against Obesity group. And she said that "When I look at Jordin I see diabetes, I see heart disease, I see high cholesterol. That's what's so sad about this - she is not the vision of health - she is the vision of 'unhealth'." Can you believe her!? Naturally, she became the victim of hate mail and death threats - not only from Jordin's fans - but from other americans as well, considering that most of them aren't exactly "thin."
Anyway, the thing is, I think you choose what you see in people. If when she looks at Jordin she sees unhealth... When I myself look at Jordin, I see that she's fat as well, but I go beyond that. I mean, its just a matter of perspective. And more importantly, with Jordin Sparks, you can't help but go beyond her figure - you can't help but see her charm, her grace and most importantly, undeniable talent. (Could it be that I'm becoming a fan!? haha)
Its just a matter of perspective. Yep. Seeing the best in people is a choice. Sometimes, its a difficult one to make. But when you meet some people, its hard not to. Ikaw, how do you see other people?
Anyway, got to go back to acads. Damn, I knew I wont be able to rest during these T-TH days of no classes. haha Oh well, I'm still glad I have this sched anyway. (^_^)

Its starting to fall apart. =(
Posted at 10:03 AM
If you've been following my recent posts, there was something I was busy with in the past two weeks. And for the first time in a very long time, my posts had some light, they were simply, happy and not filled with the usual angst that defines most of the entries in this post.
The thing is, I think its starting to fall apart. It hasn't fully done so, but things are looking towards that direction. And yes, it seems that 2008, as early as now, will be another (yet again) frustrating year. kainis. its not even funny anymore.
Is this going to be another what-does-not-kill-me-only-makes-me-stronger moment? I'm too tired of always becoming stronger.. pffft (haha!)
"One Step At A Time"
Hurry up and wait So close, but so far away Everything that you've always dreamed of Close enough for you to taste But you just can't touch
You wanna show the world, but no one knows your name yet Wonder when and where and how you're gonna make it You know you can if you get the chance In your face as the door keeps slamming Now you're feeling more and more frustrated And you're getting all kind of impatient waiting
We live and we learn to take One step at a time There's no need to rush It's like learning to fly Or falling in love It's gonna happen and it's Supposed to happen that we Find the reasons why On step at a time
You believe and you doubt You're confused, you got it all figured out Everything that you wished for Could be yours, should be yours, would be yours If they only knew
You wanna show the world, but no one knows your name yet Wonder when and where and how you're gonna make it You know you can if you get the chance In your face as the door keeps slamming Now you're feeling more and more frustrated And you're getting all kind of impatient waiting
We live and we learn to take One step at a time There's no need to rush It's like learning to fly Or falling in love It's gonna happen and it's Supposed to happen that we Find the reasons why On step at a time
When you can't wait any longer But there's no end in sight It's the faith that makes you stronger The only way you get there Is one step at a time
Take one step at a time There's no need to rush It's like learning to fly Or falling in love It's gonna happen and it's Supposed to happen that we Find the reasons why On step at a time
One step at a time There's no need to rush It's like learning to fly Or falling in love It's gonna happen and it's Supposed to happen that we Find the reasons why On step at a time

Typically Pinoy.
Posted at 10:38 AM
I'm posting this barely five minutes after the post below. You see, I do not only post entries in my blog, but I also read other people's blogs as well. Its what I call my blog-roll, parang roll-call, pero for blogs. Well, its pretty much self-explanatory, but oh well, para naman may sense di ba!? haha
So anyway, it takes a lot for one to be in my blog-roll. For one, the blog should be regularly updated. Regular in this case, is once a week, or kahit twice a month, if entries are really interesting. haha Marami pang ibang criteria.. haha parang pageant... may Q&A and evening gown competition pa ito. hahaha
Going back to the main point of this post, I actually encountered a quote from one blog that really did make me LOL. As in, laugh out loud talaga. Honestly, when was the last time you typed LOL, and actually laughed out loud!? See what I mean...
Anyway, the quote was simple. He was narrating his experience of a binyag (christening) and one thing he noted about Pinoys was this: "Di bale nang mahuli sa misa, wag lang sa mesa." OMG, this is soooo true. haha And I experienced this first hand during the christening of my niece and nephew last December. haha Ang pinoy ng talaga.... haha

It's like God calling you home.
Posted at 01:17 AM
Growing up, I was always surrounded by cousins. Though my family isn't really that big, my cousins and I would more often than not see each other during birthdays, Christmas and New Years.
One of my favorite cousins (yes, I know I shouldn't have favorites, but I do. haha), would be Ate Tess. She was already a teenager when I was born because her mother was the eldest while my mother was the youngest. She was my favorite for a lot of reasons. For one, she was beautiful - arguably the most beautiful in our generation of Legayadas. Second, she was smart - or at least the smartest amongst her siblings. Also, I loved her handwriting - and I mean, her handwriting was one of the best I have ever seen, it was old world - the kind of script people in the 19th century wrote. She was also the first in our family to become an American citizen - thenafter her parents became Americans as well. She was also the one who married a caucasian - thus she was the first one to introduce blond hair and blue eyes to our family's gene pool.
Above anything else, she was my favorite because despite the fact that we had a generation gap, she was my "fun" cousin, the daredevil, the drama queen (trust me, pang telenovela ang mga pangyayari sa house namin when we lived together in one house when I was in grade one.) , the one who would go against the "matriarchs" in our family. She was the one who used to sneak me candies when I was young. And boy, was she blunt. haha Its probably where I got my blunt-ness din. =)
The last time I talked to her was way back when I was in grade school, I called her up in California (collect) without my parent's knowledge just because I missed her, and Oh yeah, I asked for a Gameboy. wahaha A few months later, the gameboy arrived. My parents god mad because they didn't know that I called her. *sigh* memories... haha I don't know what happened, but it seems that after that, we just drifted apart. I know its been a while, Ate Tess. I'm sorry that I didn't call. Heck, I didn't even e-mail. If you ever get to read this, wherever you are, always know that you were always one of my favorites. Walang bola yan. I miss you, more than you'll ever know. It was untimely - but quite like what my sophomore math teacher said, its just like God calling you home.

Weekend? What weekend?
Posted at 11:54 PM
Its Saturday today, so that means day after tomorrow, another week will begin, again. Can I just say, hindi ko man lang naramdaman yung weekend. It seems that all I do these days are either errands or acads. Though there are rare occassions that they're actually fun to do, most of the time, they're just sooo dragging.
Take for example my Philosophy reading. I just finished reading Gabriel Marcel's Phenomenology of Hope. Its over 30 pages of crap (font size 10, i think). Honestly, I didn't understand any of it. Well, there was the occassional mention of Hope, but the rest was just so darn confusing. I hate Marcel. I read one work of his in Philo 101 and 102, and I hated him back then as well. He just goes round and round, uses deep words that aren't really suited to the topic.
Nosebleed talaga itong reading na ito to the nth level. haha I mean, I knew I was reading english but I couldn't understand any of it. Crap. haha Even Mrs. Azada-Palacios admitted that this was indeed a difficult reading. oha! teacher na ang nagsabi niyan. haha Anyway, thats just one of the things I have to take care of this weekend. I also have long tests and case studies to prepare for.
The silver lining (if there actually is) in this scenario is that this week will be the week number three of my last 8 weeks of school.Oh my God, it's so close I can taste it. haha Anyway, I've got to go back to my so-called "weekend." Hope you're all having a better one.

Aldrich, the humanitarian!?
Posted at 01:52 PM
Last Thursday, I didn't have classes but I still went to school because I had this Philosophy Long Test that was scheduled for 6-9 pm. Yes people, hindi lang School of Management ang nagkakaroon ng 6-9 exams. Apparently, Philosophy is slowly catching up. haha Anyway, I was with Leo at around 3 to eat something before I went back to studying. So anyway, we were coming back from the SOMMall, and I had vegetarian kare-kare from Bodhi. God, that was certainly something that sounded good, but was devastatingly disappointing when you actually tasted it. Two words: vegetarian bagoong. haha
So, coming back from that sorry excuse of a pseudo-dinner, we passed by the MVP Building, and there were stacks of papers, calendars and documents made available by the European Studies Department. And, also, there was this sign saying "Free to take" or something to that effect. Being the freebie-whore and lover of all things Euro that I am, I of course took everything there was to take. haha Well, the documents weren't really that updated and the calendars were for 2006, but that doesn't really matter. Ewan. I guess it was just something Pinoy. Its the same as the fact that Pinoys just have to ask for another pack of peanuts when riding an airplane. Or that Pinoys want to ask for the can of soft drinks and not just the cup that stewardess usually give (kahit na pwede naman humingi ng wine, which is arguably more expensive. haha) Theres just this good feeling associated with something that's for free. haha
So, one of the documents that I took was this magazine entitled Label, and it is supposedly from France. Anyway, there were french accents, but the magazine was in English. One thing to note here is that much of the articles in this magazine focused on first-world issues. And one article that really blew me away was one about world hunger, particularly what France was doing about it. One quote from the article that really struck me the most was this: "Hunger kills more people than tuberculosis, malaria and AIDS combined." There were no statistics involved, but the thing is, I really find that alarming. Not because people really do die of hunger, but because its certainly and absolutely preventable. Media talks about a lot of things like wars and weapons of mass destruction, the possibility of a pandemic or something to that extent. But the truth of the matter is that, the so-called pandemic, is actually here.
Being an Economics major in the Ateneo, nakakahiya mang aminin, sawang sawa na ako sa "poverty". I dont have anything against the poor, but its just the Ateneo has successfully drowned me in too much data and information (hello, eco 177 + theo 141 praxis) that sometimes, it just makes a person want to say, enough! haha But the truth of the matter is, poverty is here, it has always been and if we don't do anything about it, its going to be here to stay. However, I'm from the Philippines. Although many people would argue against me saying this, but the Philippines, broadly classified, is middle class. In a way, we're not that rich, but we're better off - so much so that the poorest of the poor in the Philippines still is better of than the poorest of the poor in Niger or Chad for example. But the task of finding the solution to this problem lies in the hands of the first world. Yes, the so called developing countries can play their part, but the thing is, they can only do so much. The hope for a world without poverty lies in the first world - the cliche with-great-power-comes-great-responsibility argument. After all, charity is the luxury of the rich, and our country is a far cry from being rich.
Hahay, ewan. Yep, this was a boring entry. I've been yapping about poverty, and poor, and responsibility. But the thing is, sometimes, I go beyond thinking of my own problems. Unfortunately, it doesn't happen as often as I would like, but the occassional breakthough comes. And when it comes, it hits hard and makes me rethink what I plan to do with my life. But then, I take a look at my goals for the future and the things that I want to have, and that makes me rethink again. haha
Anyway, I'm off to studying Global Strategies. Infairness, I do love this subject. Its sooo global. (duh.) wahaha Which makes me really thankful that I chose International Business as my minor. (^_^)

Strong.
Posted at 11:15 PM
Just finished the Global Strategies Long Test. Can I just say, I loooove the subject. As in, I've never had a subject that I truly enjoyed reading. haha ang nerd ko! wahaha But the thing is, I finished reading four chapters in under an hour - compare that to a philo reading that's just 20 pages and took me 3 hours.
Anyway, I loved the long test. I think I studied enough. Lets just pray that I'm still happy when the results come back. Aldrich hearts International Business. haha Eto na ba ang tinatawag na calling? Just add a dollar income (or pwede ring euro) and I'm good to go! haha
Anyway, I was looking at my Yahoo list kanina, tapos one status message was like this:
Its fun being a strong person. You feel invincible like you can face anything that comes your way. But you know what sucks being one? Its when people know you're strong and they think its okay to hurt you. (Ed. just to be clear, its not.)
Hahay. Inferness, can relate. =p Buhay nga talaga no!? Parang life. haha Anyway, I've got to go back to studying Philo and History. Once wednesday comes around, then I'm done for this week requirement-wise. haha

I am Legend.
Posted at 02:11 PM
Can I just say, yesterday was one hell of an academic day. It started off with this History long Test at 7:30 in the morning. God! It was so exhausting, plus I totally wasn't able to answer one essay question. Damn. As in, my answer was way off. Crap. And then, there was this Philo quiz in the afternoon. Oh my f*ckin God! I mean, after reading Marcel's god-forsaken article three times, I still didn't understand the reading. The quiz question, was not really that difficult, but the thing is, I still don't think I nailed the answer. Damn.
Anyway, the highlight of my day was the start of my accelerated class - Cross Cultural Communications. haha There were I think 9 french people, 1 germand and this other guy who if I could remember correctly, was american. Hahay, infairness, ang daming accents all around. I mean, studying in Ateneo, more often than not, you'd get used to the chinese accent - especially when they speak tagalog. But aside from that, you'd just have the traditional filipino-spoken english - if you get what I mean. But this time around, there are foreigners with thick, and i mean thick accents. haha Can I just say, cross cultural communication nga talaga ito.
Also, can I just say, I loooove the professor. haha he's sooo adorable - He's middle aged, pero he's like a toddler. How did that happen? go figure. haha Basta, he's just so entertaining. Plus, he just makes me smile and laugh all the time. I know not a lot people will get the following line, but I just have to type it here: "aaaaah, the notebook!" haha OMG, as in bwahahahaha.
Anyway, today is a rest day for me (much deserved, If I may say so myself). I've got loads more to narrate about what happened yesterday, but I'll just type it on the next entry - para naman you'll have something to look forward to. Ay, nga pala, I watched I am Legend kanina. I bought a pirated DVD yesterday sa Cubao. Oh my God! I loved the movie - its like Castaway meets Resident Evil. haha Ang galeng galeng ng pagkagawa. I liked it. But, I didn't have expectations before watching it, so maybe that's the reason why I liked it that much. haha But anyway, at least I'm catching up with my DVD viewings. Honestly, these few weeks, I've had the time to buy pirated DVDs to keep my collection updated, but I can't seem to find the time to watch them. *sigh*
Ayun. 'Til next time! Ciao!

Gadgets!
Posted at 01:19 PM
Its been a while since I posted here, so I guess here I am itching to type once again. I'm not sure why, but the feeling's here, so there. Anyway, what actually happened last week was that my phone - Pierre, broke down. I mean, it wasn't charging! So what's the use of having a phone thats fine, if there's no battery!? So there. I was scared. haha Honestly, this is only the second time i've had problems with Pierre, my Sony Ericsson K700i phone in the span of I think, 2 or three years. In fairness, Sony Ericsson handhelds are really durable. So anyway, I had to have it for repair.
So right after classes, I went to Cubao. I don't know why I had to go to Cubao, since there are repair shops near our house, but I think its more of a habit. So if Quiapo = DVDs, Cubao = electronic repairs (and a lot of shady-red-light level businesses offerings as well. haha) And for a modest fee, the guy was able to repair my phone. It turns out, my phone was dirty. haha It wasn't actually my fault, because the guy had to open the whole unit - as in open, just like an autopsy. And then, when he placed it back together (parang Humpty Dumpty) it was charging! Naks, the miracle of third world labor talaga! haha
In a way, parang naguilty ako. Kasi, out of all my three Gadgets, Pierre was the most neglected. I always bring him along with me, but out of the three (Gus - my laptop, and Andre, my PDA) siya yung pinakaluma. haha Plus, I never really liked this phone (and the memories that came with it.) But, what happened last week made me appreciate Pierre - especially since this phone never actually gave me trouble in the past. hmmmm ayun. haha So anyway, I dont want this post to be all about Pierre, and my newfound appreciation for it. So, I just want to introduce all of you to my techie gadgets. haha They're not exactly the latest. Heck, they're all more than a year old - which is more than a decade in tech terms. But, they're all special to me - in one way or another.
Now, my loyal readers (haha assuming you exist), I present to you, my gadgets!
So, the oldest of the lot ,is Pierre - my Sony-Ericsson K700i. Did you know that I've only had two other phones in the past!? haha That's highly unusual for filipinos who usually buy new phones on an annual or even semi annual basis. haha Yep, Pierre's features are barely minimal(they were top-of-the-line when I bought it). VGA camera. Colored screen. MP3 player with get this, 42 MB of internal memory that's not expandable - no card slot. So, I get to choose up to 8 ( yes, not just 7, but 8) songs to put in my phone. haha The middle-"child" is Andre. Yep, I have a thing for French-sounding names. haha Also, medjo same theme sila ni Pierre kasi I thought of naming my gadgets one boring day - so ayun, sabay silang nagkaroon ng French inspired name. Anyway, Andre is my Palm Tungsten E2, who has faithfully served as my electronic journal/mp3 player. He's been with me on my once-in-a-blue-moon jogging sessions. Plus, he's also accompanied me in recent travels. Also, siya rin yung nakakabasa ng e-book, so I can read my pirated copy of Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince everytime I'm bored (long lines, airports, busses, embassies, regcom ekek). haha Also, I can plug Andre to my speakers at home tapos instant jukebox na siya - no need to load the computer. haha Anyway, the "bunso" is of course my laptop - Gus. Yes, my beloved laptop. haha halatang may favorite eh no!? Yes, my handy laptop that's not really as fast as the latest models, but gives me wi-fi in school which it totally makes up for. Anyway, Gus is an Acer TravelMate 2355LCi. He was my father's laptop, before I "borrowed" it. haha And now, he's mine, all mine. bwahahahaha Anyway, Gus is fast enough for me. Plus, he's just the right size (particularly the keyboard), for my fingers. Gus is also not that heavy, so I usually bring him to school. he's great for 5-hour breaks. haha youtube all the way! haha Plus, he's been there for me in those ultimate-cramming-sessions that I've had. Yep, from Eco 177 long tests, theo exams to LS layouting sessions. haha Anyway, why am I typing all of these down? because another one is on the way. And its a baby girl. haha And she shall be called Lorelai. haha Yep, this is my first female "gadget" - but don't be decieved by her name, promise, she's not as dainty as she sounds. haha I'm so excited. OMFG, she's going to be fabulous. haha and just like what they have in the movies, she's Coming Soon, the Next Attraction. haha You have no idea how this up and coming attraction excites me. haha She's the next big thing... Anyway, I think this post made me look like this ass who's in love with his gadgets. haha well, in some way I am. no denials here. haha But its more than that. I guess, I just want to put them here - para naman when I look back years from now, I still remember what my old gadgets were - assuming that I have new gadgets by then, that is. haha
Anyway, I'm done for this post. 'Til next time!

I just came back from school a few minutes ago, and Mama told me one of the best news i've heard in a while. After two months of waiting for the PLDT technician to come and install it, it is finally here!
After years of waiting, and waiting and waiting, Ladies and Gentlemen, Aldrich is now connected to the Internet via DSL! Yes, you've read that right, I am now connected via DSL. haha
Isang malaking, finally! haha Finally, DSL na kami. haha

Feelin' All Crappy
Posted at 08:45 PM
This day was a so-so day. I mean, I didn't have any requirements to do for the day, plus I already did my homework last Saturday (naks, for the first time in like forever, i didn't cram! haha) The list of things I had to accomplish for today was short - I just had to drop off some resumes for today's share of companies in the job fair, and then attend my classes, meet for groupworks and then the day is supposed to be done.
But, right before the day ended, I just felt bad. Nothing in particular happened. And no one and nothing pissed me off. I'm not sure if you've felt this before. Its just like this cloud of despair kept on circling around me. In Harry Potter terms, it was like there was a Dementor nearby. And for the rest of the afternoon, I just felt miserable. Its just soo unusual for me to feel this way without any particular reason. Crap. I mean, I was happy one moment and then I felt like crap the next. Mood swings? Nah, I don't think so. hahay ewan talaga. pffft (haha)
Hope this passes. I sooo need to have more positiv-ity in my life. haha Oh, and by the way, I just listend to Clumsy by Fergie for the first time. haha I'm sooo loving the beat. haha

Lorelai is here!
Posted at 11:51 AM
I've been hinting about something big that's on its way, and yes ladies and gentlemen, she has arrived. I got her last Friday - January 25. I had to cut Philosophy and History, but it was sooo worth it.. haha yep, she certainly is worth it. So, once again, ladies and gentlemen, I present to you, my latest "gadget", my beloved Lorelai! Beep! Beep!

The Honda CR-V is a compact crossover SUV manufactured by the Japanese automaker Honda since 1996. It was loosely derived from the Honda Civic to satisfy a public demand for a sport-utility vehicle from Honda. There are discrepancies as to what "CR-V" stands for, with Honda sources in different markets citing different meanings. Though Honda sales literature in UK reportedly makes references to "Compact Recreational Vehicle", other Honda references (including the official Honda Japan CR-V Fact Book and Honda Worldwide) "Comfortable Runabout Vehicle".
One important thing here is how I feel. Quite simply, everything has just been surreal. haha Our family had cars in the past (from the Proton Saga, to the Proton Wira, to the current Mercedes Benz and Hyundai Sonata), but they were all in Malaysia. But now, I have one. Yep, I have one. She's all mine, all mine! bwahahahaha
Lorelai just opens up so much possibilities and potential. Plus, she looks fantabulous (if that is actually a word). haha In other words, mataray. haha In fact, I can't help but smile when I think about the fact that the car parked opposite our driveway is mine. haha Its just soo surreal. It just wants me want to ask, "where do I want to go today?" haha
Plus, eto pa! I have a driver din. Haha Mang Roger. Ewan, I'm just not comfortable with having a driver waiting for me. So I asked my dad to just hire him for one month, tapos I'll drive after that. O di ba? Ewan, being brought to and picked up from school in a private car was never a childhood experience of mine. School bus ako all the way. haha Middle class talaga ako to the nth level. But, this time, I guess its better late than never. haha At least, two months before I graduate, I get to experience that. haha First world na ba ito? haha OMG, this is such a big thing for me. haha and for some reason, I'm happy, happier than I think i've been in the past few months. haha I dont think its about me being materialistic. Its just me being happy. haha
Lorelai b. 25 January 2008 To Lorelai! May we have many miles and good times together.
